Assignment 3: HTML Email Design

I enjoyed this website since it portrays what they are advertising. It is a family lodge, these colors are very warm and very cozy looking, which would make me, and others, want to stay at this warm looking lodge.

The colors of this website make me think of clean and fresh. Yellow is a very uplifting color that can be related to a fresh smell of lemon. The lemon on the front is a smart icon to use, because they are advertising for hygiene care, and a lemon is the nicest scent.

This site advertises exactly how I would like this type of site to be portrayed. It is a site to find dogs homes, and these bright colors show that having a dog or a pet is a wonderful thing. The colors, and also the animation of the dog, also show that dogs are playful and happy creatures.

This site comes off very simple which is very pleasing to the eye. It is a foreign site, so if I were to just look at it, I would think this is advertising a gardening site, or a grocery store. It pleases the eye and it is easy to navigate.

This is another foreign site, and it is an apartment/housing complex. It is very easy to navigate and the colors are very pleasing to the eyes.

This site is for professionals who want to keep track of their clients in an easy way. It is great because the color is very friendly, and it is fun. It is easy to use and is very interesting.

This is a great website! This is a personal website by a graphic designer that has an interactive portfolio. The colors are bold and playful, and it is a great way to show companies that he is good at what he does and wants to have the viewer interact with their portfolio.

This site is very simple. Just like the animals that they have shown on the front page. It is a great environmental site that uses colors of nature to help show what they are advertising. It catches the eye with a playful tone.

Assignment 1: HTML Resume

Caitlin J. Billeter

My name is Caitlin Billeter, I am from Williamsburg, Va. I am 21 years old and I am a senior at James Madison University. I come from a family of four kids with an addition to the family of four dogs, and a grouchy hedgehog. Growing up, I have always been surrounded with many very talented people. Art has always been in my life, including being in both concert and marching band in highschool and even in the Marching Royal Dukes here at JMU. My grandmother was the one responsible for the fine arts playing a large role on my life, that's why I am here today!

College Education:

I am currently a senior at James Madison University. Although I am a fourth year, I have to extend my schooling here for another year. When I first was accepted into the art program here at JMU, I began as a graphic design student. After trying to get my general education classes, and the general art classes out of the way, a professor had convinced me to change my concentration to Interior design. After two years of studying in the concentration of interior design, I had realized that I had made a major mistake and had changed back, once again, to graphic design. Hence the reason why I am a little behind. Since taking classes, I have grown to love graphic design and hope to have a bright future in this field!

Experience in Graphic Design:

I have unfortunately have had very little experience in the world of graphic design. I have though, been asked to design shirts for friends and family, and even a few jerseys for a couple of local hockey teams back in Williamsburg. I am hoping to try to get an internship this summer in order to get a leg up in the real world.
